Property 1240 El Palomar (The Dovecote) is a romantic little cottage that sleeps two surrounded by three acres of land. You feel as if you are in the countryside, but you are really only walking distance from Les Cabannes and a four-minute drive to beautiful Cordes-sur-Ciel. Once a train waypoint, this beautifully restored property is compact and charming, but with all the modern conveniences including broadband internet access.
The attractive country kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and a clothes washer/dryer. It is fully equipped with dishes, flatware and cooking utensils. Leading off from the kitchen is a small guest toilet and access to a terrace with stone walls, a large table for dining ‘alfresco’ and a small table and chairs for just sitting and sipping drinks during the pleasant afternoons and evenings. Maison Felix is a well-equipped cottage on four levels, with a comfortable kitchen and living area at ground level, a peaceful double bedroom with a comfortable large double bed and a bathroom on the first floor, a lovely salon with a breathtaking view of Corde-sur-Ceil on the second floor (with a sofa bed and shower room and toilet) and a spacious attic with another double bed, and glorious views from the skylight.
The house is beautifully furnished with a feeling of light and peace throughout. There is modern electric heating, a log burner and double glazing in the windows. Just around the back is a garden with a sheltered area, a hammock, and a table and chairs for alfresco dining. The kitchen and comfortable room on the ground floor of Maison Felix, has a log burner for cooler autumn and winter evenings. There is a plethora of walks directly from Maison Felix, into the countryside, along the river banks, or up into the magnificent fortified medieval town of Cordes-sur-Ciel. You can also use the bicycles (there are two) to travel further afield, or to visit the Garrisou water park on the outskirts of the village. There are also weekly markets in Les Cabannes and Cordes-sur-Ciel.

It is located in Saint-Marcel-Campes just 4 kilometers’ from Cordes-sur-Ciel, a beautiful medieval hilltop town that was voted “France’s Best Loved Village” in 2014. It is only a short walk to the Cerou River and has an 8.5-meter-long x 2.4-meter-wide x 1.4-meter-deep swimming pool.
The house boasts many original features including beamed ceilings, wooden flooring, and stone walls whilst benefiting from satellite TV (French and/or English free sat) and wireless internet access. Outside, the house is surrounded by well-stocked gardens on 3 sides with many secluded seating areas in the sun or shade, alfresco dining and BBQ areas, and the pool which is open between May and October.

Maison sans Tourelle (translation: House without Tower) is full of French charm and character and benefits from stunning views across the large garden and out onto the Cerou valley. Maison sans Tourelle is a two-story building with a comfortable lounge, separate dining room, very well-equipped kitchen and a large family bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms; a master bathroom, a further large double room, a smaller twin room and another large family bathroom. The house is kid and pet friendly and free Wi-Fi is included. There is also an outdoor dining area and a BBQ.
Outdoors are gardens and grounds of nearly an acre in size with many mature fruit trees and bushes and a large lawn area where many sports can be played such as badminton, boules, croquet and table tennis.
