The designer farmhouse kitchen/dining room and a day room/conservatory lead into the garden. Holestone Moor Barns consists of two self-catering cottages, The Barn and The Stables. These two 200-year old farm buildings have had a makeover, emerging as beauties, with all their original oak beam and stonework features intact. When both The Barn and The Stables are rented together, we call them “The Steadings”. This cottage, The Barn, is a beautiful and luxurious conversion of the old barn and has maintained the original features of the oak beams and stonework whilst being complete with modern equipment and entertainments. The barns are made convenient for wheelchair users and service users will find that a selection of local produce can easily be sourced. The attention to detail makes The Barn a great place for groups of friends and families to be together whilst enjoying their own private facilities. The Barn has free wireless internet access and also has a luxury fitted kitchen with everything you need for self-catering and a separate dining room seating 15. The Barn is a larger and more versatile property that sleeps eleven people & a travel cot in 5 bedrooms all with en-suites and one ground floor bedroom with wet room and wheel-in shower for the less able, excellent for large parties and occasions. All the bedrooms are themed; the downstairs ‘Garden’ bedroom is a twin, with en-suite bathroom and wheel-in shower is suitable for our less able guests. Stairs lead to a further 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms: 1 double ‘Boudoir’ bedroom; 2 twins; ‘Seaside’ bedroom and ‘Textiles’ bedroom and 1 triple ‘Farmyard’ bedroom with single beds; has a shower over the bath. Because of our proximity to our neighbour’s working dairy farm we regret that we are unable to accept pets.

It’s full of exposed beams upstairs, giving a lovely cosy feel. Downstairs, the sitting room has a wood burning stove and French doors to the terrace and large garden, with barbecue and garden furniture and the fully fitted kitchen/dining room has a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Upstairs, the master kingsize double room has an en-suite bathroom with shower attachment. There is also a twin bedroom, a children’s bedroom with full size bunkbeds and a family bathroom with shower over the bath. All our child friendly cottages in South Devon come fully equipped with wooden cots, high chairs, stair gates, children's plates, dishes, cups, cutlery and spoons. We also provide food processors to enable you to liquidise local organic produce.
