Red Doors Farm is quintessentially Devon. The 500-year-old Grade ll* listed historic Devon longhouse together with its original group of flint and thatch cottages, form an enchanting private hamlet nestling in the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Byre Cottage is a thatched, stone and cob cottage, which in parts is over 400 years old and Grade 2* listed and adjoins the main Farmhouse. The front elevation really is old English “chocolate box” charm and is adorned with beautiful climbing roses and clematis. There is an entrance hall, kitchen with dining area, sitting room with beamed ceiling, original oak shutters, a log burner and a shower room with WC. On the first floor (upstairs) there are 3 bedrooms, (1 double and 2 bedrooms with twin beds – all with Vi-Spring mattresses) and a bathroom with WC, and bathtub with a power shower.
All of our cottages are furnished to an extremely high standard and each has achieved a Gold Award and been graded 5-stars by Visit England. Our extensive facilities are set in two acres of beautiful, well-kept gardens and include a large heated indoor swimming pool, games rooms and children’s play areas (both indoors and outdoors). There is so much to keep you entertained here at Red Doors Farm that you don’t really need to go anywhere else, but if you’re feeling adventurous then there is a wide variety of activities and attractions nearby to centrally located Red Doors Farm.
