Friheimen is 14 miles from Faro in the Algarve, Southern Portugal. Six bedrooms sleep up to 18 guests. Rural setting, beautiful views, safe for children. Pool, with solar heating. Half a mile to village with shops, banks and good restaurants.
25 minute drive from Faro airport. The farmhouse is extensively modenized and expanded.We have 16 000 sq.meters, garden, grapes, figs, carobs, almonds, and lots of oranges. The charming village of Moncarapacho is a ten minute walk away, with three or four exellent restaurants, shops, banks, an internet cafe etc. There is a sun roof, a roof terrasse, a large tiled outdoor dining table and a double barbeque. Sandpit and dolls house. The pool measures 4 times 9 meters. The deep end is 2 meters, the shallow end 90 cm. There are six bedrooms in all. Bedroom one: a double bed, bedroom two: four single beds, bedroom three: a double bed, bedroom four: two bunks, bedroom five: a double bed and two bunks, bedroom six: a double bed and two singles. There are two bathrooms, one extra toilet with washbasin, one walled outdoor shower, all with hot and cold water. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a microwave, a gas hob, utensils and a CD-player. The living room has a fireplace, airconditioning and satelite TV. Portuguese and English channels. Bring your own towels for the beach. The ocean is only 3 miles away. The sand islands have the best beaches in the Algarve (source: The Rough Guide). They are only a short ferrytrip away. You can also bathe on the mainland. This coast is a protected bird breeding area. This part of Algarve is therefore much less crowded than the tourist ghettos west of Faro. Wonderful golf courses. We are only 3 miles south of the east-west motorway, and all the attractions of Algarve and Andalucia in Spain are easily reached.
